I call you to witness, O my master,
that I bear witness that there is no god but God, alone, without partner,
and that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger;
there is no beloved but he and his family.
And I call you to witness, O my master,
that ‘Ali, the Commander of the Faithful, is His proof,
al-Hasan is His proof,
al-Husayn is His proof,
‘Ali son of al-Husayn is His proof,

Muhammad son of ‘Ali is His proof,
‘Ali son of Muhammad is His proof,
al-Hasan son of ‘Ali is His proof,
and I bear witness that you are the proof of God.
You are the first and the last,
and your return is true,
there is no doubt in it,
on the day when its faith will not benefit a soul
that had not believed before
or earned good through its faith. (cf. 6:158)
And that death is true,
that Nākir and Nakīr, the angels of the grave, are true,
and I bear witness that the raising of the dead is true,
the resurrection is true,
the Bridge is true,
the Watch is true,
the Balance is true,
the gathering is true,
the reckoning is true,
Paradise is true,
the Fire is true,
and the promise and the threat that come with them are true.
O my master, wretched is whoever opposes you
and fortunate is whoever obeys you.
So bear witness to what I have called you to witness:
I am your friend,
free of your enemy.
The truth is what you are pleased with,
falsehood is what you are displeased with,
the right is what you have enjoined
and the wrong is what you have forbidden.
So my soul believes in God,
alone, without partner,
in His Messenger and in the Commander of the Faithful,
and in you, O my master, the first of you and the last of you.
My help is prepared for you
and my love is sincerely yours.
Amen, amen.
